1990. Massacre and looting in Piatres:
Following this massacre, attributed to a faction of the Army of Haiti, 11 peasants
were killed and about fifty wounded. 375 houses were also looted or
burned.


1958. Dismissal of General Kébreau as head of the army:
Head of a military government after plotting a coup against the
provisional president Daniel Fignolé, he favored the election of François Duvalier at the
