Other heads of state will have launched other campaigns, and this until 1956, with the
same results.

Father of Cincinnatus Leconte and grandson of the founder of the homeland, Jean-Jacques
Dessalines, Cinna Leconte, a supporter of Sylvain Salnave, who was in
Dominican Republic since the fall of the latter, decided to return to Haiti and
landed in Cap-Haitien. With his men, he seized the arsenal and made
to proclaim Emperor under the name of "James II." Captured by the troops from the North
Alexis, then commander of the Department of the North, was immediately put at
death.

Arrested on the night of the 14th to the 15th for conspiracy against the government of the North
Alexis, he was executed a few hours later. With him, two of his
brothers (Horace and Pierre-Louis), and the following citizens: Aluption Casimir, Félix
Salnave, Riche Armand, Alexandre Moise, Alexandre Christophe, Paul Saint-Fort

It was reported that Félix Salnave, son of President Salnave, had been arrested the day before because
that he had the misfortune to pass in front of the national palace. He was accused of having
