1959. Hijacking of a COHATA plane:
Aircraft of the national company serving the Portau-Prince-Cayes-Jérémie circuit, it was hijacked by Haitians
opponents who, shortly after takeoff, forced the pilot,
Major Eberle J. Guilbaud from the FAdH assigned to the service
of aviation to change its route and set sail for Cuba.
Major Guilbaud, born on February 18, 1918, murdered by the
hijackers, was part of the group of five aviators
Haitians who had participated in the Tuskegee project at
United States in 1944.
