2007. Death of Joseph Nérette, de facto president:
Born in Port-au-Prince on 9 April 1924, Joseph Nérette was a member of the Court of Cassation.
when he was called upon, in October 1991, by the putschist soldiers to replace
President Jean-Bertrand Aristide. A few months later, he was dismissed from
his duties and replaced by Marc Louis Bazin, prime minister in a
government became a monarchy.
