1969. Air raid on Port-au-Prince:
A four-engined aircraft equipped with machine guns flew over the capital as it
the official final exams for primary school were taking place. The occupants of
the plane, using machine guns, fired on the national palace and the battisses
neighbouring governments. Heavy gunfire directed at the aircraft’s batteries
airy recently installed at the national palace forced him to leave the spaces
Haitian air.
This was the second attempt to destabilize US-based opponents; the first such attack had taken place on 20 May 1968.
The raid of June 4 caused minor material damage and killed three
people.
The former colonel of the Armed Forces of Haiti, René Léon and his accomplices, including two
Americans, were arrested in the Bahamas where the plane had landed after the raid.

Former IDB official, former Minister of Finance under the government
by Jean-Claude Duvalier, founder of the MIDH, Marc Bazin, who was for a long time
nicknamed Mr. Clean, replaced Jean-Jacques Honorat at the primature. His management of
the crisis caused by the coup d'état of September 30 did not please the military; it
was therefore forced to retire a year later
