1799. André Rigaud’s victory over the troops loyal to Toussaint Louverture:
Rigaud, who had revolted against the ever-growing authority of Toussaint
marched with his troops on the Western Department and attacked on the way Fort
Garit located in Petit-Goâve. Defeating the garrison commanded by
Laplume, he continued his march. It was the beginning of a civil war, the mulatto

2000. Massacre of Haitians in Guayubin, Dominican Republic:
