1859. Constitutional Act amending the constitution of 1846:
This law ratified the declaration of the Committee of Gonaives, dated the 23rd
December 1858, who had abolished the imperial regime and proclaimed the restoration of
the Republic, bringing into force the Constitution of 1846. Articles 62, 71,
111, 132, 133, 137, 167, 182, 192 and 193 of this Charter were then amended.
