📅 1800. André Rigaud orders the destruction of the city of Les Cayes:
After a year of struggle against his rival Toussaint Louverture, André Rigaud lost all hope
to win the game, asked his followers to reduce the city to ashes. His order was not
follow-up. He then had to go into exile. A few days later, Toussaint returned triumphantly to the metropolis of
South.

📅 1860. Ratification of the Concordat by the Haitian Senate:
The signing of this document on March 28, 1860 was the culmination of long, exhausting and
often frustrating negotiations started under the government of Jean-Pierre Boyer to
regularize the situation of the Catholic Church in Haiti. The Haitian plenipotentiaries and the Saint
Headquarters, Pierre Faubert and Cardinal Giacomo Antonelli were able to finalize these negotiations for
the satisfaction of two States.
A concordat is a treaty signed between the Vatican and a sovereign state.

📅 1902. The city of Petit-Goâve rose up against the provisional government led by Salnave.
The city was retaken eight days later by the troops of General Justin Carrié, who burned it.
