📅 1492. Beginning of the adventure of Christopher Columbus:
With a flotilla of three caravels (La Pinta, La Niña and Santa Maria), and supported by the kings
Catholics of Spain, Christopher Columbus, the Genoese, left Palos (a port of Andalusia) in
the hope of going to the East Indies. But by heading west, he surrendered
rather in what will be called after the "New World". His journey lasted a little over two
month, and on October 12, it docked with the island of Guanahani, in today’s Bahamas.
