; 1888. End of the government of Solomon Junior
Proclaimed president on October 23, 1879, Louis Etienne Félécité Lysius Salomon Jeune who was returning
barely out of exile for twenty years, spent nine years at the head of the executive. Facing a revolt
organized by Seïde Thélémaque (see: August 5, 1988), recovered by former president Boisrond
Canal, he returned to exile where he died a few months later (19 October 1888).
