1908. The city of Les Cayes rebels against the government of
Nord Alexis:
Nord Alexis was very suspicious of Antoine Simon, the delegate of
government in the South. After trying to get her arrested on two occasions,
he took away his command from him. Simon, instead of submitting to this order of
revocation, rallied the discontents around him and set out for Port-au-Prince. At his approach, President Nord Alexis withdrew and left for exile.

1803. Agreement ratifying the surrender of Cape Town:
This agreement between the revolutionary troops of Dessalines and the troops
French signed the day after the defeat of the latter at Vertières ratified the
surrender of the city of Cape, then called Cap-Français and led to capitulation
French forces in regions not yet occupied by the troops of
Dessalines.
