1803. Capitulation of the French troops at Môle Saint Nicolas.
Irony of history. Colonization, which began at the Môle Saint Nicolas, with the
landing of the Spaniards on December 6, 1492, came to an end, with this
capitulation, in the same place.
1908. North Alexis gave up power.
Faced with protests, especially from Antoine Simon, who took up arms against
the regime on November 10, Nord Alexis resigned and left for Jamaica.
